About

My name is Shyvonne Neufeldt

Art has always been more than creating an image for me—it has become a way of understanding life. I am a self-taught mixed media artist from Alberta, Canada, working primarily with ink pens, gel pens, acrylic paint pens, and occasionally chalk pastels to create layered backgrounds. My work is incredibly detailed, and it's not unusual for a single piece to take weeks or even months to complete. Every line is intentional, and every detail becomes part of the story. People often ask what inspires my art, and the honest answer is... life. I create from what I feel, what I observe, and what quietly reveals itself through meditation, reflection, and the world around me. Some pieces begin with an emotion I can't quite put into words. Others come from vivid visions, spiritual symbolism, or moments of clarity that ask to be expressed. Rather than following one specific style or subject, I allow each piece the freedom to become what it needs to be. Many of the animals that appear in my work are symbols rather than simply wildlife. They represent strength, resilience, freedom, wisdom, transformation, protection, or hope. Crystals, flowers, light, sacred patterns, and natural elements often weave themselves into my artwork as reminders that growth can emerge from even the most difficult seasons. My journey hasn't always been easy. Like many people, I've experienced loss, hardship, and moments that could have broken me. Instead, those experiences became part of my creative language. Creating art has been one of the ways I've transformed pain into beauty, fear into strength, and struggle into something meaningful. My hope is that each piece invites you to pause. To notice the details. To discover something new every time you look at it. Whether you find peace, inspiration, comfort, or simply a moment of wonder, then the artwork has done exactly what it was meant to do. Thank you for taking the time to experience my world through my art.
